Superyacht regattas that are members of SYRA and choose to implement its guidelines, are referred to a ‘SYRA Sanctioned Regattas’. This highlights their recognition of the many challenges that are unique to racing a diverse fleet of large yachts and their commitment to fulfil various criteria of SYRA membership.

SuperYacht Challenge Antigua
5 – 9 March
Designed to be solely for the pleasure of superyacht owners, their guests and crew. The magnificent fleet take part in five days of spectacular racing. With daily races along the stunning south coast of Antigua and laid back social events, the Superyacht Challenge Antigua is a wonderful celebration of sailing and parties.
St Barths Bucket Regatta
13 – 16 March
The first Bucket Regatta was organized in Nantucket, Massachusetts in August of 1986. At a birthday celebration organized by Nelson Doubleday, several yacht owners participated in a spirited discussion about optimal yacht design and individual sailing prowess. The following day, with only a night of preparation, seven sailing superyachts raced on a hastily prepared 15-mile course on Nantucket Sound. The stated prize of this impromptu competition was simply to attain undisputed superyacht sailing bragging rights for the year.

GIORGIO ARMANI SUPERYACHT REGATTA
27-31 May
The Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta opens the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda sporting season. The four day coastal race is set against the unique backdrop of the La Maddalena Archipelago and accompanied by glamorous social occasions ashore.
Organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, the regatta is open to superyachts with a minimum length of 90 feet and multihulls of at least 50 feet in length.

The Cyclades Cup (Antiparos, Greece)
June 12th – 15th
Taking place on the spectacular island of Antiparos in Greece, the Cyclades Cup is a gathering of superyachts that goes beyond a simple race weekend. The Cup offers a unique opportunity for owners, guests, captains and crew to come together in a spirit of camaraderie and celebration of sailing in one of the world’s most spectacular uncharted race courses.
The SuperYacht Cup Palma
25 – 28 June
The Superyacht Cup Palma, established in 1996, is Europe’s longest running superyacht regatta. The annual event attracts some of the world’s largest and most prestigious sailing yachts, along with owners and guests, to the beautiful island of Mallorca for a spectacular festival of sailing. The Superyacht Cup combines professionally managed yacht racing in reliable sea breeze conditions on the Bay with a relaxed and fun atmosphere ashore in the heart of historic Palma, the home of Mediterranean superyachting.
The private and informal social environment at the regatta village is the perfect backdrop for owners, guests, sponsors, and sailors to network and catch up after each day’s racing. The Superyacht Cup Palma is well known as a pioneering event that is constantly exploring ways to build on its success and enhance the experience for owners and stakeholders, while remaining focused on making the racing as attractive and broad reaching as possible.
Safe Harbor Race Weekend (Superyacht Class)
8-10 August
The Safe Harbor Race Weekend takes place amidst the seaside charm of downtown Newport. The event is for yachts of 30ft and above, and their superyacht racing class adheres to the guidelines of SYRA.
Safe Harbor Race Weekend participants and guests will be treated to a host of festivities including a Friday evening opening dinner with panoramic views of Narragansett Bay and casual coastal cuisine, and a celebratory Saturday night Talk of the Town Crew Party featuring a mariner’s feast and live music.
Ibiza JoySail
September 18th – 21st
The Ibiza Joy Sail was launched in 2021 as a different and exhilarating sailing event, and word has clearly spread. The event’s roaring success is the reason why it has become an invitation-only regatta, making it even more exclusive and desirable.
Our guests can enjoy the company of family and friends on laid-back, fun races along the breathtaking coastlines of Ibiza and Formentera. This regatta is all about relaxation, good vibes, and a true passion for life.

Millennium Cup
1 – 4 February
Organised by the NZ Marine Export Group and a dedicated committee of some of New Zealand’s most pre-eminent superyacht industry figures, the NZ Millennium Cup is a celebration of good racing, great cruising grounds and exceptional hospitality.
Drawing attention to New Zealand’s beautiful cruising grounds, skilled workforce and innovative industry, we’re looking forward to delivering an event which showcases the best of our superyacht sector in a relaxed, recognisably-Kiwi style. A key focus of the regatta is to encourage extended cruising within the country, and the committee will be working closely with the wider industry to ensure yachts are aware of the diversity New Zealand waters present, as well as the opportunity for world-leading refit and repair services. The next edition will be raced on 1-4 February 2025; subject to change.
